In 2019 David left full-time practice to start a biomedical device company but continues to work casually for Boettcher Law as a consultant.

David has run a number of large litigious matters, ranging from prosecuting misleading or deceptive conduct claims against accountants, start-ups and property vendors through to defending professional negligence claims against solicitors. David is equally adept at undertaking plaintiff or defence work and has experience litigating in the ACT Supreme Court, the Federal Court of Australia and the District Court of NSW.

David is passionate about technology and regularly advises clients on how best to structure their start-up ventures. David maintains close ties with a number of CBR Innovation Network start-ups and is an early adopter of legal technologies. In 2016 he used novel contract drafting software to help a consortium of economists and electrical engineers draft the Vietnamese Wholesale Electricity Market Rules.
