David commenced working for Boettcher Law in 2014 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2015. He graduated from the ANU with honours degrees in both science (2013) and law (2014), having researched and written theses about cancer immunology and cerebral palsy litigation.
David is adept at litigation and dispute management and general commercial law. He has worked on a wide variety of large litigious matters, including misleading or deceptive conduct, professional indemnity, negligence and insolvency claims. David is equally skilled at plaintiff or defence work and although the majority of his litigious matters are in the ACT Supreme Court, where he defends legal practitioners, he also has experience litigating in the Federal Court of Australia and the District and Supreme Courts of NSW.
David has a passion for technology and regularly advises clients on how best to structure their start-up ventures, raise capital and licence their technology from their research institutions. David continues to work with several local entrepreneurs and maintains close ties with a number of CBR Innovation Network start-ups. In 2016 David worked with several power industry consultants engaged by the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam to help draft a new set of rules to govern the Vietnamese Wholesale Electricity Market.
