David commenced working for Boettcher Law in 2014 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2015. He graduated from the ANU with honours degrees in both science and law. While studying at the ANU he wrote two theses. One on the genetic mechanisms underlying Burkitt’s lymphoma, which detailed his research undertaken at the John Curtin School of Medical Research. The other was on how cerebral palsy litigation reduced maternity care options for women in Australia.
While working for Boettcher Law, David has been involved in a number of large litigious matters, ranging from misleading or deceptive conduct claims through to medical and professional negligence claims. David is equally adept at undertaking plaintiff or defence work and although the majority of his litigious work is conducted in the ACT Supreme Court he also has experience litigating in the Federal Court of Australia.
David has a passion for technology and regularly advises clients on how best to structure their start-up ventures. David continues to work with a number of local entrepreneurs and maintains close ties with a number of CBR Innovation Network start-ups. In 2016 David worked with several power industry consultants engaged by the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam to help draft a new set of rules to govern the Vietnamese Wholesale Electricity Market.
